Going to LAN centers like The Esports Cave is the best way to meet players as dedicated as you are. I walked into a 2v2 Call of Duty tournament without a partner, got paired up with a random player, and we ended up taking home 1st place. The Cave is where real Austin gamers meet, build teams, and level up.
