Super Rebirths in Droid Tycoon; when to do it?
After reaching Rebirth 12 and obtaining at least one Rainbow Legendary Droid, Droid Tycoon unlocks Super Rebirths. Super Rebirthing resets your base progress, credits, and active droids in exchange for permanent credit multipliers and Nova Crystals. Because of your base reset, many players wonder when to Super Rebirth in Droid Tycoon Fortnite.
While resetting your base feels daunting, Super Rebirthing gives you the permanent boosts needed to reach late-game milestones exponentially faster.
The quick answer: Super Rebirth when progress slows down drastically. This changes based on where you are in the game:
- First time: Rebirth 14~15
- Cycles 1~3: Rebirth 15~17
- Cycles 4~6: Rebirth 18~19
- Cycles 7+: Rebirth 21~24
When NOT to Super Rebirth
Standard Rebirths ought to be done as soon as they are available, but we want to be more strategic about when to Super Rebirth in Droid Tycoon Fortnite. Here are some good indicators to look for as to when you should NOT do the Super Rebirth:
- Use up your upgrade chips: completing your droid dex gives you a credit boost. Since your chips will go away anyway, use them up to fill out your droid dex. Alternatively, you have more income now to buy droids from the conveyor or missions to fill out your dex a bit first.
- Wait until after an event: Sometimes events are soon but you need to have high credit income to take full advantage. Wait until after the event, you might level up a bit before the Super Rebirth.
- Show a little patience for droids: Don’t just blow up your base because you’ve been waiting for one droid for a little too long. This manuever may feel rewarding until after you start grinding the early game again and realize you would have had a few more rewards by being a little more patient.
- The Credits are flowing: If you are getting the credits you need for specific milestones with ease, it’s not time to Super Rebirth yet. Ride the gravy train, earn your credits to level up and THEN Super Rebirth when the rewards are higher.
What is Super Rebirthing?
The primary benefits are the permanent credit boosts and the Nova Crystals… particularly what you buy with them in the shop. However, it’s scary to lose all of your base progress because of how much time you’ve spent. These credit boosts and Nova Shop upgrades are worth it. Let’s start by dissecting what you lose and what you keep.
What you lose:
- All Credits
- Base Progress including Scrap Station Level
- All Active Droids
- Current Rebirth Level
- Blueprints and Upgrade Chips
- Pickaxe Level
What you keep:
- Nova Crystals and Nova Shop Upgrades
- Permanent Credit and XP boosts
- Droid Dex and Flawless unlocks
- Droidsmith Level
- Iconic Droid Unlocks (can buy again with credits)
- All cosmetics, Hats, and Paint
Why Super Rebirth at these Specific Levels?
Super Rebirthing isn’t about resetting as fast as possible—it’s about hitting the exact point where progression efficiency collapses.
Super Rebirthing awards Nova Crystals and Credit Boosts based directly on your current Rebirth level. There is no hidden bonus for pushing higher; you simply get a flat increase per level.
To put this in perspective: when I first played through, Super Rebirthing didn’t exist yet. Going from Rebirth 18 to 19 took around 3 days—which was roughly the same amount of time it took to get from Rebirth 1 to 17 combined!
Here is how the rewards scaled during that push:
- Rebirth 17: 46 Crystals, 92% Credit Boost
- Rebirth 18: 56 Crystals, 112% Credit Boost
- Rebirth 19: 67 Crystals, 134% Credit Boost
Pushing from Level 17 to 19 only nets you 21 additional crystals and a 42% credit boost. However, taking 3 full days or more to earn that small jump isn’t efficient. In that same 3-day window, you could Super Rebirth at Level 17, use your new permanent credit multipliers to sprint back to Level 17, and earn another 46 crystals and 92% credit boost instead.
Nova Shop, how to Super Rebirth faster
This efficiency collapse happens at higher Rebirth levels as you get to later Super Rebirth Cycles. For instance, now that I have multiple cycles under my belt, it’s only a couple hours to grind the credits to get to Rebirth 24. This makes it far more efficient than restarting outright to wait until around Rebirth 22~24 for me. Let me recommend some specific Nova Shop upgrades to help you get to these checkpoints faster.
- Scrap Value: This makes hitting the scrap table worth it again. You get chips based on your base credit generation, meaning you can get millions, or billions, per scrap. This makes it easier to grind higher credits faster.
- Pickaxe Mastery: The first upgrade gives you 5 levels back on Super Rebirth so you don’t have to totally reset. This makes the early game each Super Rebirth a lot easier.
- Upgrade Chip Station: This upgrade will set you back a lot of Nova Crystals and maybe take a few Super Rebirths, but it is worth it when you need higher Rebirths. Having a Droid generate Upgrade Chips for you will make it significantly easier to simply upgrade the droids you need.
Other Nova Upgrades
- Blueprint Storage: This handy upgrade lets you save a blueprint. Sometimes you fill your crafting stations and still need to grab something. Having one more slot to save one for later can stop you from running out of places to put the blueprints you need.
- Credits: The core progression of Droid Tycoon is credits, after you get the Droids you need. Gathering a few extra percent Credit Boost can drastically shorten the time you need to grind Rebirths.
- Rebirth Droid Alert: When you repeat Super Rebirth cycles often, the main waiting game starts to be waiting for a specific droid to spawn in the conveyor. Don’t miss a thing when you get this upgrade!
Main Gameplay Cycle
If you’re wondering when to Super Rebirth in Droid Tycoon Fortnite, just remember that the key to efficiency is watching when Rebirth levels start to slow down. Sometimes it’s Droids, and other times it’s credits that limit you to excelling. Remember that by Super Rebirthing you can collect massive boosts to make the next go-around much quicker, and not get too attached to this particular cycle.
