So was I. One of the things that we are doing is looking for other internet gaming centers. However, as a new esports center in Austin, we like partnering. I have been scouring the internet looking for other esports centers. But when I looked for Round Rock gaming in google, basically I found a bunch of advertising for NCSA sports recruiting.
The good news is that esports really does have scholarships at real colleges. Locally, we have been working with Concordia University. They have a team and a club, and they do indeed offer scholarships. That’s one of the things that we want to offer. We’re doing things like summer camps. These are designed to bring up your skill level. Therefore, one benefit could be a scholarship!
While there aren’t currently any Round Rock gaming centers or internet cafes, we opened The eSports Cave on June 1. We are located here in Austin, not far from Round Rock. We are local and we offer a large space with plenty of room for social distancing. In addition, there is also a party room for those who would like to bring in a group yet stay isolated from other customers. And don’t forget our Rock Band Room. Come be a rock star!
KXAN came in and did a great story about our opening. Todd Bailey came in and interviewed Connor. In addition to the page, Todd’s story was broadcast live on the morning segment. I think he captured what we are trying to offer Round Rock gamers or any other esports players or fans. Above all, we want a fun and safe place for families, casual players and more serious players. In addition, the equipment is top notch. And the environment is clean. Similarly, we stole a page from buc-ee’s – the cleanest bathrooms in esports!
While the Round Rock gaming scene doesn’t have its own tournaments yet, we do! Come join us! We’ll be hosting Fortnite competitions (free – with a cash prize!), Super Smash Bros tournament, and a League of Legends tournament! Not to mention various specials like day passes and mini day passes. Check us out!
